Vietnamese food so good the natives come too. Great food, served quick for a good price. I enjoy pho in the winter and noodles in the summer. Try to get here once a week, but it does not always happen.

This place is the spot to get pho when you don't want to cook it at home. Their pho is really good! It is pretty busy all the time, but it doesn't take long at all for you to be seated at all. It's a great spot to go with friends and get some pho and bubble tea. The owner there is extremely friendly as well! I used to work at IHOP, and he would come in to buy pancakes for his daughter all the time. The only thing I have bad to say would be that their rice dishes are a little lack luster. Rice Dishes: VN Pho Pho: Pho Da Loi

Quick Vietnamese bite! Plenty parking, plenty tables, ac and clean restroom. Not to mention quick service. Good food, good price, and good service! I normally come once or twice a month.

One of my favorite places to go for pho. Ocassionally, i would order pho, so this time I ordered com tam thit nuong. Boy did they packed my plate with loads of rice and meat. It took me two days to eat all of this. The food was pretty good. I would have to come here again.

Just had lunch at this little spot and i don't regret the decision. Went just for the bubble tea but decided to stay and eat. I had the #44 which was a veggie fried rice with shrimp and Vietnamese sausage, it was very good. My husband had the # 28 which was a thinly sliced pork with shrimp dish and he opted for rice i/o noodles. This was delish. The pork was well seasoned and tasted like it was slow cooked on a wood grill. The place was clean incl the bathrooms and the servers were very courteous. Now for the bubble tea, I'm new to the craze so i haven't tried too many. I had the Taro milk tea with lychee jelly (was suppose to be tapioca & lychee mixed - but they forgot the tapioca). It was really good. Not as watered down as the one i had from Sweet Hut bakery on Buford Hwy. Overall i enjoyed lunch here and will def return. They place got packed pretty quickly too.

We drove all the way from Peachtree City after reading their Yelp reviews and seeing an article about Pho Dai Loi having the best Pho in the Atlanta area. We were NOT disapointed !!! I can't wait to come back!

One of my favorites here in Atlanta. Great soups and other Vietnamese specialities. A favorite amongst the locals and college kids. I highly recommend this place for a fulfilling and satisfying meal!

Oh yes! I absolutely love going to this place. Glad it's in my neighborhood. I've had several dishes from them and they all were good.

Very good pho. I really enjoyed it. Portions were very good and lots of meat. Broth was tastey. Service quick like pho should be. Thanks.

Okay, with all these great reviews, many from Yelp buddies I decided to finally check Pho Dai Loi and see what the big rave is. At first I did not know what to expect, as I was walking through their doors and after a few minutes I was greeted, apparently someone did not see me sit down right away. The lady who greeted me was very friendly and passed me a menu, within two minutes my waitress approached the table and suggested Com Tam Bi Cha Suon Nuong Trung Ga. This is served with shredded roast pork, grilled pork chop and a steamed omelet with sunny side-up eggs, all on top of a mountain of broken jasmine rice. I also had one of their boba teas, as almost everyone makes them differently, I had to try one and it turned out to be really good. Of course, till this day, I have yet to find one better than what I found in Asia. The service was excellent. Within 2 minutes, my Gi cun (Spring Rolls) came to the table and before I finished my spring rolls, my entrée was delivered, all of the food came out very fast. I usually always eat up the street at VN Pho and although they have a better interior than this place, I do admit, the food is blander. Pho Dai Loi has more flavor in their dishes. I'll definitely have to try their Pho Tái Gân. On this experience, I'd give this place a solid four stars based off food and service. I'll be back. [Review #214]

Different. Not in a bad way. Just my first time. U get a LOT of food. The spring rolls were tasty. I didn't like my pho (I got the chicken ) at first but once I added the jalapeño and the green leaves it gave it that kick I was looking for. I'm letting it sit in the fridge to take all the flavor in. The people who work there were sweet. I was so confused and they really helped me out. I want to go back and just get veggie pho. For some reason I prefer the veggies over the near.

I was introduced to the Buford Hwy location about 10 years ago. On a cold Sunday night, I had a taste for pho. I ordered the medium no. 5, shrimp basil roll, iced coffee and an order of beef stew to go. Everything was delicious and fresh. There was no difference in service or quality at the Jonesboro Road location. If pho is not for you, try one of their rice or vermicelli dishes. If you want authentic Vietnamese food at a reasonable price, pay this place a visit.

Very good pho. Not the best pho I have ever had but it was satisfying! Not deserving of 5 stars but 4 is perfect, good food, great service. Hopefully I will get to come back

Initially visited the location on Buford (drove about an hour RT, but was sooo worth it). I recently visited a friend who lives off Jonesboro and noticed the second location and was soooo excited - plus this location is less than 25 minutes away from me (yay!). Got take-out which allows you to put together your own pho; everything was fresh and beyond plentiful - I was able to make THREE servings from one order! Broth was delicate yet flavorful. Can't wait to return.

  • Melissa N.

The best pho I have ever eaten! We eat here pretty much every week. The broth isn't greasy like some places closer to the city and the noodles are always perfectly cooked. I love this place!

  • Norina N.

After checking in at the hotel nearby that my husband and I stay at, we headed to this place base on the high stars given. My husband had special pho and I got the combo broken rice dish and soursop shake. Pho was good, clean taste with no greasy oil on top. My rice dish was mediocre, actually I was kinda disappointed. Soursop shake was good. And guess what? I got the runs couple hours later. Thank you Pho Dai Loi for making my stomach super flat in just one day.

We hurried to get here at 9:02 pm tonight (it said they close at 9:30pm and it was the closest/latest viet place we could find open) hoping to satisfy our pho craving before my husband's cousin was leaving the continental states but they literally turned the sign to "closed" when they saw us get out of our vehicle, and then proceeded to stare at us through the door when we were less than 20 feet away. Wow. Rudest staff encounter I've ever experienced.

  • Jonathan G.

Best pho south of Buford Hwy, period. The food is always fresh, comes out fast, and has great portion sizes. We always stick to them medium size bowl and it is more than enough food. They also have great bubble tea! Try the taro or green tea flavors!

The pho is really good. Everyone got something different, but it was all great. Make sure to ask for tea because it's free!

Been coming here since I was 10. Great Vietnamese food. The pho is real good. And when I'm tired of that I get the Bon bo hue. My two fav dishes there. On Sunday it's really packed due to church's letting out and family gatherings, so order in and just take it home to save ya self the wait.

Found 2 hairs in my food. 2... I will probably not return because that's just ridiculous. Hair nets should be worn and they should also be more careful.

I was on a business trip and decided to stop here since it was the most convenient location heading back to Florida from Atlanta. I ordered the grill pork and rice platter and an order of the spring rolls. I was not entirely impressed. The Boba tea was great since they had the option to sub jelly instead of the Boba balls. Service sucks since we were just sitting there waiting to get our checks or to get water so we just walked up to the counter instead. There was just one other table occupied in the building at this time.

A little hidden gem in the Southside for delicious Vietnamese food. With all the great restaurants on the Northside of Atlanta, it's nice to have a restaurant closer to those of us on the dwelling in the southern suburbs. The pho, of course, is the main attraction and delicious. Fresh, hefty portions of delicious soup that leaves you full and satisfied. If you have room, end the meal with a cool, smooth and sweet bubble tea.

  • Crissy R.

I only ordered takeout, so I'm not certain how it would be if I were to sit in. Nevertheless, the food was great. I ordered a boba thai tea which was superb, I am definitely looking forward to come back for that. I ordered the number 5. Boba which had a bunch of different meats. It was made from a very tasty broth. I ordered a large bowl and I think it was actually enough food for about 3 meals of mine, which is fantastic. I figured I might as well play it safe by ordering the pho that everyone seemed to enjoy which is why I ordered it. There was definitely a great combination of everything included in my food. I cannot wait to "forget to bring lunch to work" so that I can come back here.

  • Alex R.

This place always has awesome bubble tea. If you're in the mood for pho or fried rice, this is the place. One of the southsides hidden gems.

  • Celeste M.

Since moving from New Jersey to south Atlanta, I have missed authentic vietnamese food oh so much. I've been to a couple places on Buford, but none compare to this little gem! Whenever I feel a little cold coming on, I rush into here and order a #5 medium with meatballs. The broth is rich and flavorful and they don't skimp on the meat. Talking about it as I write this review is making me want pho right this very minute. I may have to stop in for dinner!

    (4)
  • Athan D.

Can't go wrong with pho but I ordered something I have no idea what it is. That's right, I did not read the description. It's number 25 and it said "very spicy" in red. It's good! They barely speak English but they're nice peeps and the food is good too

    (5)
  • Christie R.

This place was recommended by my nail tech who mentioned that this is the place where the Vietnamese folks go to eat! Tried the mango bubble tea (buyer beware, the bubbles are tapioca, but you can order your bubble tea without them! :)

I use to like stopping by here to get my pho fix, but I will no longer return. The past few experiences have gotten worse and worse. Instead, I will drive up the road to VN. Service was horrible to start with. My waiter could not communicate in English and even when my husband spoke to him in Vietnamese he still screwed our order. What part of "no onions" is so hard to understand? Is it that difficult to get a refill of water as well? And I asked for extra limes, but got cilantro instead. We both ordered pho and lemonade. The lemonade was water and sugar. No thanks, never again. The pho was greasy and ended up giving both of us upset stomachs the rest of the day. Needless to say, without finishing our meals, we paid for our order and walked out never to return again.

Huge place, lots of people. Great selections of vietnamese dishes. Their PHO is pretty authentic and rice plates are not bad. Price is reasonable and service is just a ok.

Pho Dai Loi is a regular in my weekday lunch rotation and as a result I have probably been here over 30 times. In those 30+ times I have never had a bad meal and have tried numerous things on the menu. For me #27 (Vermicelli with pork and shrimp) is king. If anyone doesn't like that dish, then they are probably some kind of idiot. Grilled pork and shrimp, sliced egg rolls, served with vermicelli noodles, some type of lettuce and accompanied with multiple sauces that are on the table. Another favorite of mine is the #9 (Pho with eye round steak), I agree probably not as exciting as some of the other meat options they have such as Tripe, soft tendon, and mystery meatballs, but still very tasty. I'll even fill you guys in on two off menu, insider secrets; you can order Banh Mi's for only $3. These are almost a meal on its own and are great to split as an appetizer with a hungry friend (Hi Kang!). Another thing not on the menu is that you can get extra pork with any meal for only $2 (Hi Shan!). Overall this place is one of my favorites in the area and if you have never tried Vietnamese do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Best. Pho. Ever! After freezing for an entire morning at the Run or Dye 5k, EVERYONE in our group had pho on their mind for lunch. We weren't too far away and this location was on the way home for everybody, which made the choice easy. True, this isn't the greatest neighborhood to be in, but it's worth the trip for the best bowl of pho you'll ever have. This is the original Pho Dai Loi and, hands down, is the best of the three locations. Service was top notch -- and yes, everybody you will interact with speaks both fluent Vietnamese and English. The do not cut corners when it comes to quality or quantity. The broth was incredibly flavorful. You could tell that they had huge stock pots going to build on top of the already amazing broth. They do not skimp on the fresh veggies, the generous amount of meat, or the insanely abundant amount of noodles. My gosh there were so many noodles! I'm not sure if it was because my body was yearning for nutritious food after the run or if the food was just THAT good, but I finished every bit of my medium-sized bowl and still craved more. I'd wager that it was a good combination of both. :) There was one person in the group who had never had Vietnamese food before and she loved her bowl of pho. Newbies and OG connoisseurs alike, Pho Dai Loi #1 won't disappoint. There's a bit of construction going on in the front of the building. Looks like there will be more seating in the near future. Lowered cars be careful!

Great vietnamese!!!!! Their bbq pork banh mi (picture) is not on the menu, but probably the best thing there... The pho is simple and delicious, love that they have 3 sizes... I usually fill up on the small... and their rices dishes are also great!! Top off your meal with a bubble tea and you're all set!!

Solid Vietnamese food. Fast and friendly service. Good value for the portions. Great, fresh flavor without a lot of heavy additives or oils. I had the spring roll, pho, and I think the lemon grass chicken. Both dishes were very tasty. No complaints here. I'd do it again if I were in the area and wanted some Vietnamese.

This is my go to spot when i feel myself coming down with a cold. The chicken soup and shrimp spring rolls are the greatest! I plan on exploring the menu soon. So i'll be posting more later.

Best vietnamese restaurant in the southside. Customer service is not the best, but their food can cover that!

  • Shinna V.

I'm not a regular here or anything. But whenever I get the chance to come through and get a bowl of pho. This is the only place I can think of that always have good pho and etc. It's affordable and the food comes out quick. Their Thai tea is actually good too! It ain't that shitty stuff that's just ice and powder. I prefer coming here over VN pho. VN pho is gross.

One of my favorite and an original Pho place to dine. Aside from the second location off of Buford Hwy, this place is equivalent if not better. -Pho Dac Biet (Special Pho) -Vermicelli bowls (Ga Nuong/Chicken with an Eggroll) -Com Dac Biet (special rice plate that comes with grilled pork, shrimp, etc) These 3 I recommend!

  • Michelle A.

I think I still like Pho Dal Loi II better - possibly because it's closer to me , though this location seems a bit more updated and cleaner. You can't go wrong with any of the Pho! Just the best I've had - from both locations. Tried a bubble tea for the first time . Itt was a bit too sweet for a "with dinner" beverage - but maybe for dessert next time! I also always get the basil rolls - they're huge and yummy. Not that I ever need more food, as the medium serving of the Pho is always taken home and finished later. It seems to be my go to cure when I'm run down/hung over/tired. Perfect comfort food.

  • Jarvis G.

good pho taste. I had the rare meat pho, they are a little stingy with the meat. had the spring rolls too. lettuce was a little wilted inside.

The one thing that sticks out to me about Pho Dai Loi is that they always have good service. They attend to your needs and the food you order comes out quickly. I'm on a paleo diet so how do you eat vietnamese food that has a lot of rice and noodles? Well I ordered a chicken vermicelli dish with no noodles and extra vegetables. They were able to accommodate my order. With their tasty seasoned chicken, fresh vegetables, and toppings it was delicious. I was so surprised how tasty it was. Pho Dai Loi is a popular spot at Forrest Park. It gets busy during lunch but they know how to handle the traffic.

Allow me preface my review tonight by stating that I have dined at Dai Loi many, many times and always found the food and service to be fantastic. If I have friends in town that want to try a taste of exotic, while not tipping the scale too far, Dai Loi is always my first recommendation! It is still one of my favorites. However, tonight I've decided that I probably won't be ordering #46 (Marinated Beef Chunks and Fried Rice) anymore. You see, growing up in the country on a farm and also having traveled around the world several times, I've eaten more than my fare share of 'Kingdom Animalia'. I find that I clearly prefer beef over other grazing animals and with that being said - my marinated beef chucks tonight at Dai Loi WAS NOT BEEF! I was initially thinking it might have been horse meat, but I am actually starting to think it was goat. I doubt that they consciously served it that way and was probably sold to them as beef. After all, they are surrounded by Mexican Carnicerias on Jonesboro Rd selling who knows what labeled as whatever you want it to be. So, the Chicken Noodle Soup, the Shrimp/Pork rolls and other fantastic choices will still be on the menu for me when I go back - and I WILL go back. I just won't be eating any more marinated whatever that animal was tonight. It's important to note that I ordered my food for carry out tonight so I wasn't able to point out the 'difference' to any of the employees or even the owners that are always there. I know they would have quickly replaced it with another entree of my choice. But eww. I just can't get this awful taste out of my mouth.

Go to this place for lunch during the work week sometimes since I don't work too far! This is my first, and only pho place I have eaten at so I don't have a comparison but giving it 4 starts because its just darn yummy! Flavor of the broth and noodles is just heavenly and everything else you put it in just compliments!

Before I discovered Dai Loi I thought the only place one could get this kind of food is on Buford Hwy. I was SO happy when I discovered Dai Loi because it is only 10 minutes away from my house. Almost every time I've been the large dining room is packed with (I'm assuming) Vietnamese families. I usually get a bahn mi or a noodle bowl- I love the chicken and lemongrass. The portions are huge and the prices are super cheap and the food is super fresh and delicious. They also have bubble teas which I love! I feel so lucky to have this place so close to me.

This was my first pho experience and wow - it was awesome. Dai Loi is FANTASTIC! The food is amazing and the prices are OMG - wow. I ordered the chicken pho and it made me feel so much better with the terrible cold that I am currently suffering through. I'm in love with place and can't wait to go back!

This place has great food don't get me wrong, but they've messed my order up over five times and tried to argue that my order was right. The customer service is ridiculous.

This is the original Pho Dai Loi. Pho Dai Loi #2 on Buford Highway has become very popular and many regard it as having the best pho in Atlanta. Its success spawned Pho Dai Loi #3 on Pleasant Hill Rd. in Duluth. However, many people don't realize Pho Dai Loi had humble beginnings in South ATL. Forest Park to be exact. There's not a whole lot down here. I made a special trip just to eat here. This is also where the Scott Antique Market is (same exit off 285). Pho Dai Loi is located along a barren, downtrodden stretch of highway. It's in its own standalone building with clear signage. The restaurant looks a little old and dingy from the outside. Inside, it's clean and the food and service are great. The floor space is comparable to Pho Dai Loi #2, so there's plenty of seating. All tables, no booths. I think the menu is also the same, which is nice considering the part of town you're in. Along with pho, they have Vietnamese appetizers (e.g. spring rolls), com (rice) dishes, specialty entrees (e.g. bun bo hue), and authentic dessert drinks. The pho is currently priced as follows: Small - $5.50 Medium - $6.50 Large - $7.00 These prices are mostly comparable to what you'd find on Buford Highway. I went with my customary large bowl of pho dac biet (special combination pho with everything) that includes eye round steak, well-done flank, marble brisket, soft tendon, and bible tripe (bible meaning third compartment of a cow's stomach). Delicious. Forest Park is lucky because the same great pho they are serving on Buford Highway is available on Jonesboro Rd. Fragrant broth, soft noodles, and a good proportion of meat. The sides (basil, culantro, bean sprouts, lime, jalapeno) were fresh. I also tried some of Pho Dai Loi's cha gio. These are fried pork rolls with mushrooms and other diced vegetables. It's served with Vietnamese fish sauce and is very tasty. Mouthwatering even. For a weeknight, the restaurant had a steady stream of customers. Diverse clientele: families, couples, teens, singles, and several takeout orders, some for just drinks. As mentioned previously, service is great. The food came out lightning quick. I can hardly find any negatives about this place. It's pretty close to five stars when it comes to pho and other authentic Vietnamese food.

  • Bibiana R.

Really yummy and cheap pho! You get seated quickly and your order will be on your table in a blink of an eye. Most of the staff don't speak very good English but try their best to serve you. I love going here at least once a month.

  • Erik L.

Okay I haven't had a lot of experience with Vietnamese food, but this was tasty. I had spring rolls served with a plumb sauce and a big bowl of soup full of tripe, tendon, beef, and noodles. They bring a big plate of peppers, bean sprouts and basil that I just dumped in the bowl. Delicious and cheap. Pro tip wait to be seated but pay at the register.

This will always be my favorite pho place in Georgia. I can't even be satisfied with the ones in Gwinnett, because pho dai loi's broth is more flavorful and fragrant. Compared to crappy VN Pho 2 miles up, this place has everything over VN. I can start with the quantity plus the quality of Dai Loi. The spring rolls here at Dai Loi are more packed than VNs, plus dai loi doesn't skimp out on their meats for the pho. I always come out of here satisfied. My top preferences are when I come here for my craving, are the Avocado shake, shrimp spring rolls, the tai bo vien pho, and occasionally the com dac biec plates.

After reading about this.highly rated, original location, I figured being a few miles away enabled me to come here for dinner last night. Knowing from others the portion sizes, I knew what to order. I had one order (two pieces) of the steamed spring rolls @ $3. Absolutely delicious with the hoisin and nut sauce. It was filled with shrimp, and possibly chicken and/or pork. I could make a meal of this!! My second order was the pho (@$7), which I came here for. I knew to order only a small bowl, and am glad I did. My order was a combo of two cuts of meat, brisket and round cut), which already has glass noodles and meat in the broth.. It was accompanied with thai basil, sprouts, and sliced jalapeno peppers. One adds pepper sauce (aka doctors it up) which one puts into the bowl of pho. Quanity was good, but the brisket was way too fatty to eat. While it is good to cook fatty meat to get the flavor, I do not wish to eat it. But, this is probably the accepted custom of vietnamese. So, I cut the fat off, and then enjoyed my bowl of meat/herb/noodle soup. While this meal was satisfying, and the service was courteous and prompt, I wouldn't venture here from more than a few miles, as therre are places like this all over town. Note: there is no alcohol served, but you can bring in beer from nearby.

Can you buy a Vietnamese pho joint from Amazon? This place is comforting because it's IDENTICAL to all my favorite Vietnamese restaurants, especially the heavenly Pho Que Huong regional chain in metropolitan Dallas. Dinner was a two-noodle seafood and pork pho. $9.51. 'Nuff said. TIP: My special was on a sign in the entryway. BONUS: You could eat for under $10; possibly including tip.

This was the first Vietnamese restaurant I ever visited, back in its pioneering days, and a decade-plus later it's still the king. I'm lucky it's a lunch option at my workplace - I've introduced a lot of people to this place over the years. One thing that has also changed over the years - I became a pescatarian. That strongly limits what I can have here. Shrimp vermicelli could be considered my go-to meal, but that's a little like calling oxygen my go-to compound when it comes to breathing. I have a dream that one day a Vietnamese restaurant in Atlanta will serve a vegetarian pho broth. Nevertheless, a shining star (a big gold one) in Forest Park, and among Vietnamese restaurants in general.

In town again for conference looking for great pho. This pho had the right ratio of noodle and meat . Great bowl and pho pack with goodness and flavorful broth. All for a great price!! Had their goi cuon, good too. Their boiled pork, shrimp to lettuce ratio is right on. A lot of restaurant give you more lettuce and 1 shrimp cut in half lenghtwise but this restaurant include pork which traditionally how it is prepared. Great recommendation from local yelpers. Eat where the local eat.

Pho Pho Pho what can I say, it's one of those excellent, delicious, cure all, slap your momma, dishes that will just never go out of style. There is something about this location that just seems like all of the ingredients are more fresh and plentiful. Very inexpensive, fast to order, and will cater to all of your rare and unique customization. I like the beef Pho with a side of extra nions, lime, and lots of Siracha. They have all of the Pho varieties you can ask for. Other than Pho, I love their #44 Coconut curry chicken. Its not what you expect with a pasty sauce, it's a very lean flavorful chicken with some veggies and hard to resist white rice. The Bubble Tea is also great, I stay with the classic Thai Tea. I get it to go, but let's be honest it never makes it to the house.

Well here again and Happy and Full for $10! Had the beef on crushes rice dish and it was soooo good. Nice small pieces slightly sweet with some chili and onions sauted and served over fried rice with a carrot/radish and cucumber salad. Huge portion for $7.50, followed up with my usual avocado smoothie with black pearls. Fast and mostly friendly service, some servers' English is not perfect but just smile and you will be alright.

The Pho broth is fresh, food is fresh, and everything always come out fast and delicious. Clean areas but dining room is small. My favorite is the Chicken with Lemongrass and the Shrimp rolls. Basil rolls sometimes called spring rolls are not fried and should not be confused with the Chinese spring rolls that are fried.

Before you go crazy with orders, get your entree first and don't go ordering appetizers because these portion sizes are massive! Didn't heed my own advice and along with the lemongrass grilled chicken vermicelli, I got an order of spring rolls, no shrimp, and like an episode of fear factor, I struggled to eat the vermicelli, but pushed my plate away halfway into ONE of my TWO spring rolls (with fantastic peanut sauce!). At checkout for both dishes, I paid about $10 bucks for a ridiculous amount of food. Food comes out quick, food is fresh, very flavorful and way too many selections for you to choose from to not visit here multiple times. Also note they have a sister location on Buford HWY if you happen to be in that area.

Having seen and heard about pho on the travel channel, etc. I've been eager to try it for awhile. A coworker said this was the best pho place in town so I met him for lunch during the week. If you work at the airport this location is great--otherwise the location on Buford Hwy is probably more convenient for most Atlantans. Restaurant is a good size, clean and comfortable. Staff is fast and friendly. My friend recommended a pho and ordered some spring rolls as well. Pho was hot and fresh. The whole experience is pretty cool--from the real chopsticks, to the rice noodles, fresh veggie toppings, and variety of sauces. I can see why the Vietnamese eat this regularly--it's filling and doesn't leave you disgusted like most American food does. You feel healthy and satisfied when done. This is only my first pho experience so I can't say whether this place serves the best, but it was a great start that's for sure!

This is an awesome place to get Vietnamese food in Forest Park, GA -- a place totally lacking in quality food stops. The inside can seem chaotic at times, with people just jammed into seats at longer connected tables, so you might be sitting near some strangers, but who cares?? It lends to the experience and food more than makes up for it. I grabbed a medium bowl of pho ga (pho with chicken instead of beef) and an order of shrimp spring rolls. The soup was great--tasty and filling. And the rolls were not only very big, but the peanut sauce served with them was fantastic. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. I'm only giving it four stars because I haven't tried more foods yet, but the pho was so good, I might never get around to that... I love this place, and will definitely be coming back.

I would say this is a B+ food. Definitely would come back, but I believe next time I'm gonna try the pho. I got the marinated beef. It was really well made, and the onions with the curry were a great addition. However there was a bit of sweet to the sauce and it didn't sit too well with me. However! It was good. I tried my friends pho and it was delicious!

Best Vietnamese pho' establishment in Atlanta! Been coming here for 10 years, still food taste the same. I usually get their Bun Boa Hui (spicy pork blood vermicelli), dac biet, BBQ pork chops, BBQ pork vermicelli, fried and spring egg rolls. I'm not a fan of pho', but it is one of the best Viet pho in town! Their duran bubble shake is the best I've had. Love their seaweed Logan drink. Everytime I order it, it's always aromatic. Their coffee is really strong, but good. On all 7 days it's always pack during lunch hours, so depending on when your arrival you may have to wait for a table. The wait is not long to get your food. Only drawback is service after food is brought out. You will never see your waiter or waitress come around unless you call them over. Other then that, best Vietnamese food in town!

This is a great place and a must stop when I find myself going to or from Atlanta Airport. Everything on the menu is great as they have a sister store up on Buford highway. Their basil rolls are good and you have to get them for an appetizer no matter what oversized huge dish under 9 bucks you get for dinner.

Excellent Vietnamese food. I usually do not like Vietnamese food, but the food here was really delicious. We ordered the vermicelli with charbroiled pork/eggroll and also the beef stew with the French bread. Everything was very flavorful and fresh. Prices were fairly cheap too.

Came here with the family all the way from Los Angeles. Completely just winging it coz let's be honest a pho place in the South? Wasn't quite sure what to expect. The family left with bellies full, not to mention awesome broth. I was satisfied and felt that the restaurant served authentic Vietnamese fare. The staff was also very friendly and even replaced an order I screwed up no questions asked. Will definitely hit this place up again before continuing on our road trip

My husband and I arrived and saw that this place was truly authentic! There were families of Asian descent eating in harmony here. We decided to enjoy the experience and we were seated to eat there. I got the Pho Nam with eye of round and flank steak and my husband got the same. The food came out fast, but the service was lacking. I'm not sure if it was a culture thing, or if we were just not welcome there. The food was delicious, very flavorful, we even ordered 2 additional meals to go. The honeydew bubble tea with the tapioca is the bomb. We will try another Noodle bowl establishment and see if we can obtain both great food and welcoming service. We don't bite :) AND we tip extremely well.

This review might make you feel a lil obnoxious! For that, I'm really sorry. I never thought I liked this restaurant from the moment I stepped inside and until I found better places, I never ever come back (except for one time when I had this family gatheringI had to attend) I can't really fathom where and how and why it's got its reputation. The food, it is mediocre. The soup tasted like those concentrated beef cubes being diluted in hot water. The meat was never fresh. Nothing tasted fresh there and I absolutely hate the decor and music. I got sick a couple of times after eating there (but I kept coming because one, I didn't realize it was because of this place and two, I was new to the area). Ok the last time I was there, I peeped a little into the kitchen (there was like a look-out window from the kitchen and you can see part of kitchen from outside) and saw one of the kitchen guys scratching. the. bottom. part. of. his. pants. for some good ten seconds there. I was speechless and pretended I didn't see it because I didn't know what to do. I felt sick already just recalling this. I'm sorry.

Ok...I rarely give 5 stars, but I have to admit...I'd give this place 6 if I could. Plenty of parking. BAM! Awesome, fast, friendly service. BAM! Delicious, full of flavor and ENORMOUS portion sizes. BAM! No dish is over $8. BAM! Note...this is a dry restaurant...so no booze, but this is not a reason to stay away. I just thought it was worth mentioning. Honestly...I don't think there is one dish on their menu that I wouldn't try. Overall...If I didn't already have plans today...I'd go back right now. GO!

This is a review for take out. I did not have time to sit and eat as I was in a hurry. Loses a point because the menu says "Shrimp rolls" but according to the cashier, it's more pork than shrimp. She stated it is one shrimp and mostly pork. Then why advertise it as shrimp rolls? I really wanted a shrimp roll. *sob* Besides the faux shrimp rolls, I order the pho ga or "chicken noodle soup". It's chicken broth and boy, was it flavorful. I ate it in a conference room with people surrounding me and I moaned out loud in delight. The vegetables were fresh, the chicken was white meat, and though it was cold, put in the broth, immediately tasted delicious. I'm so glad I found this place. I'm always on the lookout for good pho. You should go. Don't think about it, just do it. And did I tell you how friendly the staff was? They treated me like I was eating in. Even showed me how to properly hold my bag as I was leaving.

I swing by at least once a week for a large pho to go. I always request an extra broth so I can have another big bowl the next day. It's delicious, restorative and my favorite take out. If you're new to pho and not feeling too adventurous, just go with the #13. Delicious beef broth and thin sliced round steak. Perfection!

Delicious, authentic and extremely affordable. Service is also very polite and quick. A definite lunch spot whenever I'm in town. Staff welcoming, service excellent, food fresh, authentic & delicious! And the price...extraordinary! A treat any day.

Love Love Love these guys. I definitely crave their lemongrass chicken and delicious spring rolls. They have lightening quick service for dinner and generous portions - you will NOT leave hungry. The noodle soups are huge (I got the small, you don't need anything bigger, srsly). Seems like my husband and I always get out of there for under $20. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is two small drawbacks. 1) No booze. We go there for dinner and my husband enjoys a beer with his food. I personally don't really associate drinking beer with this type of food though so whatevs. 2) What is with the way these guys bus tables? They bring a big plastic cart around that really gets in the way and is super awkward, noisy and crowding from a diner's perspective. Can you please just bus the tables like a normal establishment (with one of those busing troughs)? The last thing I want when I'm eating my dinner is to have a cart of dirty dishes being loaded up right next to my table. Just sayin. Otherwise, these guys are a great option for southside dining.

Mmm, mmm, pho ... the other noodle dishes are also great. Loved the spring rolls, as well as the fried egg rolls ... the rice dish? Not so much ... also, a medium pho was HUGE! I also loved the coconut water with young coconut, though I'd order it without ice next time. GO!

Great pho :) its very random in the area but was pleasantly suprised. They also have great bubble tea and I'm happy I don't have to drive out near doraville for great pho.

I knew this was a legit pho restaurant by the sheer amount of Vietnamese customers inside the restaurant. Plus, there were PLENTY of Vietnamese customers coming in and out of the restaurant to pick up their pho to-go orders. Did it live up? An absolute YES. The beef pho here is not just good for southern standards, but also pretty darn good for Houston/Orange County standards. It's absolutely legit. I felt like I was back in Garden Grove or Westminster in southern California. We ate at both locations and both were delicious. That's why my review of the other location is a copy and paste of this review. (And yes, both locations had plenty of Vietnamese traffic). I wish it was closer to Nashville.

One word. YUM. My fellow fat girl foodie insists that there is no good eating on the southside, so I was happy to discover this place on one of our fat girl festivals. We had an order of cha gio, which were tasty on the inside, but the wrapper had a sorta thick quality, almost like they had been made up the day before and sat out absorbing all the moisture from the kitchen. This was not enough of a deterrent to keep us from gobbling them up like starving people, but I wouldn't get them again (and honestly, with the ginormous servings of pho, you don't really need anything else). So, on to the pho- OMG. Really? What pig is designing the bowls and serving sizes? We both got smalls, and they were huge! Steaming hot flavorful broth, tons of noodles and lots of whatever meat you want. Being a tripe fanatic, I got something that had tripe, flank and brisket, and was quite happy. This place is a winner for sure. There were some previous comments about the cleanliness...I don't know if my travels up and down buford hwy and penchant for cave type establishments has jaded me, but I didn't have a problem. I didn't see any outward signs of filth, and no one got sick, so I say go....eat. Don't fret. We also got some iced coffee with condensed milk. Um....I don't know what exactly was served in those cups.....black tarry liquid crack perhaps? All I can say is that between the lush portion of condensed milk and the caffeine...I was a studying fool for about six solid hours after our meal. In true fatty fashion, we both got a bubble tea to go- she some pineapple coconut concoction, and I got a taro (which wasn't very taroish, or tasty). Mine actually tasted very very coconutty, which didn't keep me from drinking it, but I wasn't impressed. She on the other hand....uh, yes, from the speed by which the drink was consumed, appeared to really, really enjoy hers. What I enjoyed the most, actually, was the fact that when she asked if she could combine flavors, the waitress actually looked at me and totally rolled her eyes. LOL! Sorry lady! Didn't know that was a cardinal sin! Service- not a plus. Better order everything you want when someone is at your table....because once your food is dropped off....service is over! Luckily, you have a full range of condiments, napkins and silverware, because you are truly on your own. Oh well. The service is initially quick, and our server was friendly. The rest is extra I suppose. Score one for the Southside with this place.

By far the best place to eat in the south region of Atlanta (in terms of Vietnamese food). Broth is fresh, food is fresh, and everything always come out fast and delicious. Some of the waiters and waitress do not really speak english so it is hard to communicate but if you look beyond that fact and go straight to the food, then this place is to die for. Extremely affordable, authentic, fresh, and delicious meal. I would recommend this place.

What's that? I couldn't hear you over the sound of deliciousness... this place has fast become a regular stop for us at least twice a month. i only had the pho #13 (because i'm a creature of habit) but everything i've seen carried to other tables looks awesome. the service is consistently fast and polite, but the best part about this place is COCONUT BUBBLE TEA. oh god, i want one Right. Now.

  • Peter W.

Overall: My weekly lunch treat. Turned me on to the wonders of Pho while at the same time offering me bubble tea. Consistently delicious and pleasant. The Good: Delicious, Delicious food. I had only had pho once before and remember it being good but not ever planning to seek it out... and then a coworker took me here and now we end up going once a week. They also have really good bubble tea which delighted me greatly since I got hooked on the stuff a while back. The waitstaff is kind and timely, and seem to have the perfect balance of appearing right as you start to want for something. The place is lively, but rarely jammed with people. Families and business-folks mix in happily to enjoy the ambrosia. The Bad: Nothing really. Be thee warned: If the parking lot is full you may have to drive to a back-lot and wait for 5-10 minutes for a seat... but that's only happened to us once in about 3 months of weekly visits.

Oh my favorite Pho place of all time! Once you step foot into the double door you quickly get sweep away by the heart warming smell of Vietnamese cuisine. I always get the Bun Bo Hue because of the fat noodles and the coagulated blood. However, I do like the pho sac viet and the com chien Bo luc lac. I love this restaurant because the flavor and smell if the food us not overwhelming, the service is honestly much much better than all the other restaurants. Overall I haven't had a bad experience with this particular restaurant.

Being Asian and coming from NYC I've had my share of Pho restaurants. Pho Dai Loi is quite good and I am satisfied with that. I got spring rolls and a large bowl of noodles with various beef, to go. The Pho was good, not the best I've ever had, but very good none the less, with all the 'fixins'. Their to go containers left something to be desired however, but I can't blame them for that (I'm sure they don't get that many to go orders). The spring rolls weren't the best nor worst I've had, still good. All together I liked my experience here and when I crave Pho I'll be back.

It is one of the best places to have a great pho. Specially for lunch! I have been there many times and i can state that the food is consistently delicious. Servers are fast, friendly and you have your food in just a few minutes. Perfectly priced! Go get your pho, it is worth it!

Came here during a layover at the airport. My friend and I wanted cheap, good vietnamese food, and we chose this place based on reviews. The service was extremely FAST (almost too fast - I'll touch on that later). When we walked in to the place there were at least three waiters approaching us from various directions to tell us where to sit. Initially confused, we sat down, they brought water with lime (actually really tasty), and the waiter asked us if we were ready to order after literally just sitting us 30 seconds ago! We eventually ordered some rice and noodles, and they were ready LIGHTNING fast. How did they do it that fast? Maybe I don't want to know. The music they were playing was nuts; it was like some kind of vietnamese techno. We thought it was hilarious. Overall, really freakin good food and not too expensive.

We came here during dinnertime on a weeknight and business was looking mighty fine. The space is smaller, but better lit and immaculate. It's not as fancy as Dai Loi II, with its green walls, and the Vietnamese art, and the lights, and the ding and the dong. The menu is exactly the same as Pho Dai Loi II and I recalled the prices being the same. The service was timely, as with the other Dai Loi. The food has the same great quality as well. I like the consistency. I honestly thought there would be discrepancies between the food qualities. Actually, the servers here are friendlier. If I lived in this hood, I'd frequent this joint biweekly. I spoke with the owner briefly after paying for dindin. All 3 Pho Dai Loi are owned by different members of the family and operate independently of each other.

Good, but not great. I found the meatballs to have tough bits in it (weird) and the bubble tea looked almost like it was pre-made or pre-packaged. (not sure which) Also, the tray of herbs lacked Cilantro. Overall it's safe if you like Pho, but I have definately had better. I think this deserves a 3.5 star. Maybe I'll go back.. but the area isn't great. Service was spotty.

I think I died and went to heaven in the form of a noodle soup with Eye of Round and a noodle bowl with grilled shrimp and pork. My husband and I have been dying to try this place and we finally went tonight. We just kept looking at each other saying "wow" - this place is SO GOOD. For two great sized bowls we could share along with a shredded pork spring roll for each of us, it was $17 without tip. Service is fast - food comes out FAST - place is super clean. I immediately texted my brother and told him we are SO bringing him to this place when he comes to visit. HIGHLY recommend!

I live very close to this place and am a frequent customer but not as of lately. The service can be okay, but the little vietnamese that I know usually helps but not all the time. The food is pretty good...it can be a hit or miss but usually its pretty good to me. I love their shrimp eggroll and their rice dishes are awesome during the summer. It does come with a little bowl of pho soup to wash it down. I usually save the pho for winter to warm me up.

Since I'm from San Jose, CA ... the central of Vietnamese food so this review might be a little bias... hehehe The Pho here is just like most of the Pho place around SJ that i've been to but since i'm on the road so it could be consider good because it's out of my zone... hehehe... ate their rice dish too it's good too not too bad... i haven't try other Pho restaurants in GA so this review is base on my personal preference only... =)

Just excellent food with minimal fuss, reasonable prices, abundant parking, and a nice interior. Don't hesitate to give this place a try. You absolutely cannot go wrong - unless you're allergic, I suppose, or absolutely can't stomach a meal without a drink (an alcoholic one, I mean). Otherwise, why aren't you on your way out the door right now?

  • Katie K.

The truth is, I don't like Vietnamese food. Mostly it's because I'm a vegetarian, and 99% of vietnamese food consists of Pork or some other meat product... (which includes 100% of pho). However, I started coming here because I know a couple of folks at work who enjoy this place. There are only a couple of menu items that don't have meat in it, and so every single time I've been here, I eat the (I think it's #28 or something) vermicelli with shrimp. And it's good!! Only about $7 or $8, and they give you a crap ton of noodles. Plus, the shrimp is totally legit... They buy it whole and peel the skin/legs off for you, and the result are several (8-10) large plump shrimp in your bowl! Not bad for the price. The other thing I get are the spring rolls. You can't go wrong with spring rolls! Food that is handheld can NEVER be bad thing. You get two with the plum sauce for about $2.80 or so... And I'll ask that they take the pork out of mine. Still delicious! They are busy around lunchtime, but there has never ever been a wait, and service is very quick. You can count on your water always being full, which is awesome. Some people complain that they are kind of dirty, but it's dirty in that typically standard Asian sort of way... if you know what I mean :) Anyways, especially with this type of restaurant, there frequently is a direct correlation between uncleanliness and tastiness of food!

Always been a fan of this place food is always hot and fresh and timely! Price went up a bit (but so did gas prices) but its still a good deal and I get full (not a get make you wanna sleep full) and leave happy. Glad it is close to home.

This place is phenomenal. I tried it once during a lunch break at school, and since then I have driven 30 miles with more people to try Vietnamese food several times. I am very new to Vietnamese food- I have only tried two other places besides this one in Atlanta. This is my favorite. If you have never tried the Bubble tea do- I've gotten the strawberry, green apple, and avocado all with tapioca. They are all delicious. Tho Pho is great, and I normally get the pork and shrimp noodle bowl. I am never able to finish all of my food due to the enormous portion sizes. If I lived closer, I would be here every day. The prices are very reasonable too.

I've been going here for years!!! It's a place where the staff is friendly, they seat you quickly, serve your food quickly and constantly refilling your water. I love going here because the taste reminds me of Thai Pho, my mom called it (Grit-the-eel)... I call it good! :) Feel free to visit here! It's one of my fav's!

Very authentic, I had the combo pho for $7.5 and it was the biggest bowl i have seen in a long time! I would definitely come back. The environment is plain but the food is awesome. One warning, be careful of the area of town its located it. I was kinda shocked when i drove by the home-depot down the street.

  • Sloane S.

Totally my go-to place for pho! I love their broth - flavorful without being too heavy. I play it pretty mainstream when it comes to pieces and parts, but souped up with some fish sauce and sriracha, it' s delicious regardless of ingredients. As everyone has said, the medium is a huge bowl of soup - throw in some spring rolls if you have room. I also love their bun with roasted pork if I ever stray from the pho. I hit the Buford Hwy location sometimes, but I am a southsider so the speedy service and convenient location in Forest Park work for me!

Love this place! Fast service! Food is great! Some of the staff doesn't speak English that well, but it comes with authetic cusine. Must Haves: Spring Rolls, Pho (duck is my fav), Bubble Tea (my fav flavor coconut) & my new fav - Ice Coffee! Also if you order pho there portions are HUGE! Small is like a medium, medium is like a large & large is super size! Small fills me up everytime.

If you want "Pho", this is the place you shoud go!! Been here several times. Number 27 is what I get. Shrimp, eggroll, marinated bbq pork on vermicelli. It comes with all the fixins and I usually douse with Sriracha and Fish Sauce but you dont have to! You have got to be a fan of "Pho" and if you want authentic Vietnamese, it doesnt get much better. All the Pho's are excellent. Frank, Matt D, and JD always get the Pho with some cut of beef (couldnt tell you which) and they are always satisfied with their meal. It is not unusual to see them drinking from the bowl or slurping the last teaspoon of that delicious broth!!

My family's favorite pho place! No to echo what everyone else has already said, but... -Tasty, HOT broth, full of meat and noodles -Fresh Vegetables -CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN -Cheap and family-friendly with great service. Only drawback- they used to have excellent, tasty tea, but now it's like.... yellow water. Ew. So just stick with water.

If you don't live in the area and are there to go to the Scott Antique Market, like me, this is a great stop. The bun is the best I've had, accompanied by a spicy fish sauce (much spicier than I have ever had before). The restaurant is spiffy, too. A better decor than most pho places (though still not exactly attractive) and no fluorescent lighting! I will be back!

I finally ordered take-out from Pho Dai Loi on Jonesboro Rd. yesterday. I ordered my usual Vietnamese fair partially because I didn't have a menu and I was winging it. The spring rolls were a tiny bit on the dry side but it was take-out so maybe they just stack them up somewhere for the pick-up orders. Then I got the shrimp pho. This is why this place is getting 4 stars. Man oh man was the broth good. Not overpowering, not too salty, just phoey goodness. The broth is the hardest part to make people! I was going to attempt to make it at home but aborted the mission after I read some recipes. I must admit I ate every last drop. Seriously, I used my chopsticks until they were of no use to me anymore and then I tipped the bowl and drank the rest. Yeah, I was kind of shocked too but at least its pretty healthy right? In the end, I was more thrilled because now I have a place close to home where I can satisfy my frequent pho cravings. DELICIOUS!

I was told that this was the #1 place for pho in my area so I decided to try it out. I have been here two or three times and each time the food and the service was consistent. The pho is good though on one occasion the noodles were way overcooked. I find the cuts of meat to be somewhat small compared to other pho places but the quality is good. The service is efficient and the wait staff is friendly. The one thing to note is that the location of this restaurant is somewhat questionable and I doubt that I would frequent it alone at night. While this has been a great alternative pho restaurant for me, the distance prevents it from being my number one go-to pho joint.
